- Located roughly half-way between Chicago and Milwaukee, Kenosha, was and is
an important industrial and manufacturing city. Kenosha is home to a number of fine
parks scattered throughout the city, several of which are located along
the shoreline. In fact, 86% of the city's lakefront is dedicated to
parks and public use. Kenosha
has a wide variety of retail stores, specialty gift shops, antique shops and outlet stores
located in the area. In the downtown area you will find 18th-century antiques, authentic
Italian foods, small specialty shops and a historic soda fountain.
