The
Wisconsin South Shore area has countless parks & parkways in which to enjoy the
outdoors. Milwaukee County alone has over 130 parks and parkways covering almost 15,000
acres. The parks along the lakeshore offer a wide variety of activities for the whole
family to enjoy. There is hiking and biking along one of the many trails, there are
softball diamonds, tennis and volleyball courts and play areas for children.
Some of the
parks have pools while others have a golf course and some have boat launch ramps. Have a
picnic on a sunny summer afternoon with the deep blue of the lake as a backdrop. Enjoy an
evening stroll along a beach, where the only sounds you will hear are hungry sea gulls and
the waves hitting the shore. |
